We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Assistant Psychologist to work within our community mental health rehabilitation team Theindividual will work supporting individuals withlong-term and complex mental health needs. It is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is interested in a career in Psychology to gain a broad range of skills and experiences within a diverse, dedicated and welcoming team.
Please note - This role is not eligible for sponsorship unless you meet criteria by temporary exemption from current changes to immigration rules put in force on 22/07/2025. Separate provisions are applied to workers who have been sponsored and held continuously Skilled Worker visa since prior to 04/04/2024.
The successful person will work as part of an established multi-disciplinary team. They will be required to undertake a range of activities under the guidance and supervision of a qualified Psychologist. These include assessments, direct clinical work (including individual, family and group work), report writing, attending meetings, assisting in projects and data collection.
Essential requirements for the post include: experience of working with people with complex mental health difficulties, an undergraduate degree in Psychology, a high level of communication skills, a good level of ability to engage hard-to-reach people, a capacity to work flexibly and productively in demanding environments and an ability to accept and use supervision appropriately.
