Commercial Office Building – FM Service Provider
Looking for a night shift role in Central London? An excellent opportunity has opened up for a Fabric Engineer to join a reputable FM service provider based in a high-profile commercial office building near Moorgate Station.
This nights-only shift position is ideal for someone with solid experience in general building maintenance – especially with strong skills in painting and decorating.
The Role As part of the on-site maintenance team, you’ll focus on a range of fabric and handyman duties, ensuring the workplace remains safe, functional, and looking sharp. This role involves a mix of planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair work.
Key Duties
- General fabric maintenance: patch plastering, painting & decorating, repairs
- Basic plumbing: unblocking toilets/stacks, replacing taps, fitting sinks & urinals
- Carpentry: locks, doors, window frames, boxing in, furniture assembly
- Installing or repairing blinds, shelving, signage, locks, furniture
- Tiling and flooring (basic) and fixing carpet tiles
- Escorting contractors and maintaining accurate logbook records
- Supporting the wider engineering team with day-to-day duties
Working Hours
- Nights Only: 19:00 – 07:00
- Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off / 5 on 5 off rotation

- Proven experience in fabric maintenance across commercial environments

- Trade qualification desirable but not essential (e.g. NVQ, C&G)
