Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in Paediatric Gastroenterology (5PAs) at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

This post is available as soon as possible for a period of 12 months.

The postholder will join the current Paediatric Gastroenterology Team and will be required to provide 2 General Paediatric Gastroenterology Clinics every week. The postholder will join the existing consultants in covering 1 in 9 for out of hours and 1 in 7 for weekend on call for Paediatric Gastroenterology (on call supplement (Band B) in addition to 5 PA job plan).

You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Paediatrics or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
