Location: Winsford
Shift Pattern: Days | 42 hours per week
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected food manufacturing business for a Warehouse Team Manager to join their high-performing site in Winsford. This role is a key leadership position within the warehouse function-working in the same facility as food production but not involved in production line operations.
If you have strong experience managing teams in a warehouse, distribution, or food handling environment and are ready to step up into a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the warehouse team to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods
• Deliver clear daily briefs, allocate tasks effectively, and maintain team engagement throughout the shift
• Monitor stock control processes and ensure accurate inventory management
• Ensure all warehouse operations are compliant with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
• Drive performance across KPIs such as picking accuracy, loading times, and stock integrity
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in warehousing processes
• Coach, develop, and support team members to build capability and promote internal progression
• Liaise with production, planning, and transport teams to ensure smooth warehouse-flow and on-time dispatch
• Maintain a clean, organised, and legally compliant warehouse environment
• Lead by example in promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork

• Experience in a warehouse supervisory or team management role, ideally in food, FMCG, or cold chain environments
• Proven ability to motivate and manage operational teams in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety, stock control, and warehouse compliance standards
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a hands-on leadership style
• Comfortable using warehouse systems and confident with data/KPI tracking
• A proactive, resilient approach with a passion for process improvement
