Responsible for the procurement of supplies and services which are not available through service sources in accordance with JSP’s 332 & 895.
Responsible for providing a high level of customer service, including advising and responding to incoming correspondence, enquiries and requests from staff, suppliers and external agencies via email, telephone and procurement systems.
Maintain and update accurate procurement records of all procurement process for the LVP Cell Manager, ensuring all records are kept for audit purposes.
Explain the procurement processes and requirements to those responsible for business unit spend ensuring best practice. Given the complexity of procurement and the time-pressured working environment, offer advice regarding quotes and historic order information. Have an understanding of Commercial Awareness.
To establish and develop strong working relationships with customers and third-party suppliers to ensure that the quality of service provision is consistently managed and challenged to meet agreed service level agreements.
Personal and Professional Development conducive to role.
Must ensure that all purchases are in accordance with the objectives and priorities of the Department, the Civil Service (as laid down in the Civil Service Code) and Military Service core values and standards, as appropriate.
Complete all mandatory training in relation to the role.
To undertake Training to obtain a Tailspend purchasing Account and Contracting Purchasing & Finance (CP&F)
Contractual powers held to use the Electronic Procurement Card (ePC) in accordance with JSP’s 332 & 895.
To provide QM Accounts with details of all orders received, enabling goods to be brought to account and an audit trail maintained.
To assist in maintaining the LVP office as a safe working area in accordance with unit standing orders and with the Health and Safety at Work Act.
To carry out any miscellaneous tasks as directed by Line Management, commensurate with grade and function.
