Location: Runcorn, Cheshire

About the Client
An opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and proactive Personal Assistant (PA) Carer to support a 24-year-old gentleman living with cerebral palsy and a learning disability.
This is a fully supportive, 2:1 role requiring:
• Patience, empathy, and dedication
• Daily engagement to support physical and cognitive wellbeing
• A warm, consistent presence to enhance daily life
The gentleman enjoys:
• Batch cooking and baking
• Sensory play and calm time
• Simple, tailored activities
• Morning or afternoon walks
He thrives on meaningful interaction, gentle encouragement, and structured support from someone who brings life experience, enthusiasm, and strong common sense. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting the client’s wellbeing and independence.
Role Responsibilities
• Provide compassionate, person-centered care
• Support with:
• Showering, dressing, hygiene routines
• Pad changes and general health monitoring
• Facilitate:
• Daily mental stimulation and consistent engagement
• Cooking/baking activities and sensory play
• Leisure time and outdoor walks
• Maintain a safe, calming, and emotionally supportive environment
• Offer companionship and trustworthy daily support
Candidate Requirements
• Experience supporting young adults with cerebral palsy or similar needs (essential)
• Full, valid UK driving licence (required)
• Enhanced DBS check (desirable; will be arranged by the employer if needed)
• Mature, confident, and enthusiastic personality
• Ability to use initiative and apply sound judgment
• Must be eligible to work in the UK
• Must meet national safeguarding criteria
• Ability to work well with others
Please note: This is a private support role and not based in a care home environment. Applicants from solely residential care backgrounds may not find the nature of this position suitable.
