As we continue to grow and expand, we’re seeking a Business Development Manager who will be instrumental in sourcing, enrolling, and building lasting relationships with students interested in joining Pagoda Virtual Academy.
Role Overview:
As a Business Development Manager (Self-Employed), you will be responsible for sourcing and enrolling prospective students for Pagoda Virtual Academy’s secondary education programs (Years 7-12). You’ll work independently, leveraging your own network, outreach strategies, and market knowledge to identify and engage with students, parents, and educational consultants who are interested in enrolling in our online school.
This role is commission-based, offering unlimited earning potential based on the number of successful student enrollments you bring to the academy.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Outreach: Identify and engage potential students (and their families) through various channels such as online marketing, networking, educational fairs, social media, and direct outreach to schools and educational consultants.
Consultative Sales: Work closely with prospective students and their parents to understand their needs and guide them through the enrollment process, explaining the benefits of Pagoda Virtual Academy and how our curriculum can help them achieve academic success.
Enrollment Process Management: Manage the full enrollment cycle, from initial inquiry to successful registration, ensuring a smooth transition for the student and their family.
Building Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, schools, and education agents to build a steady stream of referrals and long-term partnerships.
Market Research: Stay informed about the online education landscape and identify new opportunities for outreach, ensuring Pagoda Virtual Academy stays competitive in the market.
Reporting & Feedback: Track and report on lead generation and conversion efforts, providing regular updates on progress and identifying areas for improvement.
Promotional Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective campaigns and strategies that resonate with your target audience.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in Sales/Business Development: Proven experience in a business development, sales, or recruitment role, ideally within the education sector or similar fields.
Strong Network: A well-established network of contacts in education, especially in secondary schools, tutoring agencies, or within the online education space, would be a distinct advantage.
Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to engage and build rapport with students, parents, and educational professionals. You must be able to explain our offerings clearly and persuasively.
Goal-Oriented: You should be self-motivated with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales or enrollment targets.
Independent and Driven: As this is a self-employed position, you must be comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule, while taking full responsibility for your results.
Knowledge of Online Education: An understanding of the online education sector, particularly in secondary education, would be beneficial.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with digital tools, CRM systems, and using online communication platforms (video calls, emails, etc.) to engage with prospective students and parents.
