The Vacancy
We have an opportunity for a TransportSupervisor to join us at our NRC RUGBY HUB.
This is a 14:00 to 22:00 pm shift Monday to Friday occasional Saturday as required but can vary depending on time of year and workloads.

What will you do in the role?
· As our Transport Shift Supervisor, you'll report into the Transport Shift Manager, and you will be pivotal in providing leadership and direction to your shift of Drivers
· You will be responsible for motivating your colleagues, problem solving on a day-to-day basis and ensuring that the transport operation runs smoothly across your shift where you’ll provide a detailed hand over to your Shift Manager and fellow Supervisors
· Some of your responsibilities will be to brief and debrief drivers to ensure that all instructions for their allocated runs are understood and actioned.
· Revising driver log sheets with the drivers, ensuring that defects raised during vehicle checks are complete and all accidents/damage reported daily.
What skills/qualifications are required?
· You will need experience of collating reports on Driver information including Digi tachographs, Health & Safety for site and for Drivers
· You’ll have some experience of TMS systems such as Isotrak, Tachomaster, Ortec or equivalent
· Fully PC literate, you’ll be able to use Windows and MS Office especially Excel, Outlook and Teams
· Our Transport Shift Supervisor is for someone who understands how to motivate and can efficiently prioritise pressing needs, where there isn’t an obvious solution.
· Lateral and original thinking would be a benefit as would logistics experience and having worked in a busy Transport office
