We are offering an excellent opportunity to work in our Oncology team.

You will join a growing team of medics with 19 oncologists, 11 SpRs and 9 specialty doctors.

The Oncology Department provides a comprehensive clinical, radiotherapy and chemotherapy service for the population of Southern Derbyshire and South Staffordshire (1,100,000 population). The full range of Oncology malignancies are treated at the Royal Derby Hospital.

Applicants must have full GMC registration with a licence to practise at time of application.You will have at least four years’ full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis), at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty. Alternatively you will have equivalent experience and competencies. Your previous experience will include responsibility for Acute Medical Care and ideally experience working in the NHS.

As well as clinical commitments, the posts do carry teaching/learning opportunities and attendance at accredited learning events will be encouraged and funded by the Trust.

The post will be based at the Royal Derby Hospital, Derby and cover Queens Hospital Burton.
