Cover Sports Coach (Activity Professional)
Location: Maidstone area
Salary: National Minimum Wage for any hours worked plus a weekly on-call bonus of £100, subject to bonus terms.
Contract Type: Zero-hours contract
About the Role:
Do you have a qualification and experience in sport? Want to use your skills to support children's development in a fun active setting?
We are seeking reliable Sports Coaches/Activity Leaders to join our cover team providing essential backup for our services when permanent staff are unavailable due to sickness or short-notice absence.
Key Details:
Bonus: £100 per week for being available during the on-call period.
On-Call Requirement: You must be contactable by telephone on agreed days (typically weekdays between 7:00am and 8:00am) in case cover is required.
Shifts Offered: Based on organisational needs - usually short notice to cover staff sickness for breakfast club, lunchtime or after-school sessions.
Additional Pay: All delivery hours worked will be paid at the National Minimum Wage applicable to your age.
Flexible Work: Ideal for those looking for a part-time, ad-hoc or supplemental work.
About You:
Level 2 NGB coaching qualification or equivalent
Experience in delivering sport or physical activity sessions to children
Over 18 (for safeguarding and insurance)
Full driving licence and access to reliable transport to travel to sites at short notice
Confidence in working with children in a group setting
The ability to be reliable, punctual and adaptable
Willingness to attend company training days throughout the year.
