We are now on the lookout for motivated and creative individuals who are passionate about making a difference to join our dynamic team and join us on a permanent basis (16 to 30 hour contracts available) as Support Practitioners.


The Role

Based in Ardrossan, Castlecraigs is an energetic, fast-paced Housing Support service which is home to 13 individuals with complex support needs. We have a great team spirit within the service and our colleagues really pride themselves on working together to make a positive difference to the lives of the individuals we support.

As a Support Worker, you will provide personalised, flexible support based upon the assessed needs of each individual. With a focus on reducing social isolation, maintaining and promoting independence, you will enable the people we support to live as independently as possible and to play an active role within their local communities. This role will also include supporting with hobbies, meal planning, cooking, housework, support to appointments, personal care and medication.

What we need you to bring;

Good communication skills
A caring attitude and approach
A positive approach to learning
Confidence in the use of computers
We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills that you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ qualification too!

Having a full UK manual riving licence would be beneficial l for this role but it isn't essential.

Shift Pattern

We provide flexible, customer-led services that run twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, which include mornings, afternoons, evenings, waking nights, weekends and public holidays and on a rotational basis.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
