Summary
The States of Guernsey are looking for a Staff Nurse to join the team in Roustel Ward.
Roustel Ward is a 20 bedded unit that provides nursing care for people living with dementia whose behavioural needs cannot that be met in the community.
The Staff Nurse will co-ordinate the management of the ward in the absence of a Senior Nurse, taking responsibility, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained following the CARE values. Assisting service users with all activities of daily living is a core component of this role. The post holder will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, delivering, and evaluating personalised care for a group of individuals, ensuring service users and family are included in decision making, preserving privacy and dignity. They are responsible for their own personal development, ensuring mandatory/statutory training is completed in a timely manner. Adhering to all HSC policies and procedures. The post holder is expected to act as a mentor, practice assessor/supervisor to junior staff and students.
