Undertake learning and development and upskilling as required.
Oversee the testing, inspection, and maintenance of fire extinguishers and other fire safety equipment, ensuring compliance with statutory and organisational requirements for site.
Manage stock levels and spares of fire safety equipment, ensuring sufficient supplies are maintained and available.
Coordinate with approved contractors or suppliers for the servicing, repair, or replacement of fire safety equipment as necessary.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of fire safety equipment, including stock inventories, servicing schedules, and replacement requirements.
Lead on Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) action plans, liaising with Building Custodians (BCs) and DIO/Infra personnel to ensure actions are completed.
Lead on maintaining unit fire orders, Fire Safety Management Plans, and other unit fire policies and documentation and supervising AO as required in all areas fire safety
Line Management of 1 x EO and 1 x AO administrative support and submit preparing unit documentation for 2nd Party Assurance by the CFSO and 3rd Party Assurance by the Defence Fire Safety Regulator (DFSR).
Oversee administration of record findings from risk-based 1st Party Assurance (1PA) programmes, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
Responsibility for ensuring significant fire safety risks are escalated to the HoE, to inform the Accountable Person (OF5) of risks under their responsibility.
Provide support to the OF5 during inspections, meetings, and siting/handovers as required, and assist with planning for fire emergencies and exercises.
