Summary


An opportunity has arisen for a specialty doctor to join the team at the Tamarind Centre medium secure unit, working full time at 10 sessions a week. The appointed person will work under the supervision of a consultant forensic psychiatrist in our Medium secure ICU , with a multidisciplinary clinical team, to provide mental health care for adult men with complex needs, both as in patients and in the community.

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and the ability to work within a team, as well as being able to work in a flexible way with service users who have a range of complex needs. There are opportunities for continuing professional development, audit, research and teaching.



The successful individual will have full registration with the General Medical Council and preferably have experience of working with disturbed patients in secure care.

They will also have strong clinical skills, both from a physical and mental health perspective as well as excellent communication skills, team working skills and flexibility.
