Contract Personnel are currently recruiting for Powder Coating Operatives based in the Great Yarmouth area. This is an excellent ongoing, temporary opportunity, that may lead to a permanent contract.

A Powder Coating Operative is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal components using powder coating techniques. This role ensures high-quality surface finishes that meet production and quality standards, supporting the company’s commitment to durability, appearance, and corrosion resistance.

Duties and responsibilities:

Surface Preparation: Clean, degrease, and prepare metal surfaces (e.g., shot blasting or wiping) prior to coating.
Powder Application: Apply powder coating using manual or automated spray guns in a spray booth or line system.
Curing Process: Operate curing ovens to set coatings at required temperatures and timeframes.
Quality Control: Inspect finished products for coating thickness, coverage, and finish defects (e.g., runs, orange peel, or contamination).
Material Handling: Hang, rack, and move items through the coating process, including loading/unloading conveyor lines (will involve heavy lifitng)
Health & Safety: Follow safety protocols, wear PPE, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Any other duties as required

Requirements:

• Experience in powder coating or industrial painting (preferred but not essential – training can be provided).
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow specifications.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials (typically up to 25kg).
• Willingness to wear PPE including respirators, gloves, and protective clothing.

Shift pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 12:30 - 21:00
