Job Objectives :
-Support the commercial delivery of multiple airport projects, typically valued between £50,000 and £1.5 million. Project scopes range from, but are not limited to, refurbishments (from office to welfare facilities), critical plant replacements, energy efficiency upgrades, and luminaire replacement, all delivered under NEC contracts.
-Assist in managing Mitie's cash flow in line with project expenditure, identifying opportunities to optimise financial outcomes.
-Help maintain and improve project margins by supporting the identification of commercial opportunities.
-Keep clients informed of cost changes and support transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
-Monitor purchase order coverage and assist in managing variation changes in accordance with NEC procedures.
Main Duties
-Work from a Mitie office located at the airport, with responsibilities spanning both site and office-based activities.
-Prepare tender and contract documentation in line with NEC contract requirements.
-Conduct cost analysis and feasibility studies based on client needs.
-Develop and issue cost models as required.
-Produce cash flow forecasts for projects with complex programmes.
-Perform risk assessments, value management, and cost control, ensuring compliance with NEC principles.
-Support procurement strategy development and commercial risk management.
-Prepare and evaluate tender costings.
-Allocate work to subcontractors and monitor performance.
-Provide input on contractual claims and dispute resolution under NEC terms.
-Analyse project outcomes and compile detailed progress reports.
-Value completed works and assist with payment processes in accordance with NEC payment mechanisms.
-Maintain awareness of current building contracts, with a strong focus on NEC variants.
