Job description

Salary: £20,569.23 per annum
Hours: 30 hours a week
Contract: Permanent – Part Time
Location: Balham
Shift Pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 12:00–17:00 / Tuesday–Wednesday: 08:30–17:00 (with a one-hour lunch break)

About the Role

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for front-of-house services. You will ensure the reception area is always presentable, greet visitors and staff, and coordinate front-desk activities. You will also play a key role in maintaining the safety and security of the building and provide ad-hoc administrative support to the Facilities Manager and other departments.

We currently have a team of three permanent receptionists working across two offices. One of these roles is now vacant, and we are looking for a new team member to fill this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Opening and closing the office
- Greeting and welcoming guests and staff
- Maintaining office safety and security, managing building access, and conducting health & safety checks
- Directing visitors to the appropriate person or department
- Answering, screening, and forwarding incoming calls; accurately relaying messages
- Receiving, sorting, and distributing post and deliveries
- Managing calendars and scheduling meetings

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- 1+ years of experience in a similar role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent multitasking and time-management abilities
- Confidence communicating with people from diverse backgrounds
- Flexibility to adapt to business needs
- A commitment to health and safety for yourself and others
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
