Crynodeb

Manchester Vet Clinic, just 5 miles out of Manchester City Centre, is an RCVS accredited, busy, thriving practice with an excellent local reputation and loyal client base. We are now looking for a full time, small animal veterinary surgeon to work with us, providing the very best care to our patients whilst providing you with a fantastic work-life balance.

We are looking for a small animal vet, who has experience working in a busy first opinion practice with confidence across consulting, surgery and medical work ups. You will be fully supported by our experienced vet who holds a surgery certificate with an extremely keen interest in soft tissue and reconstruction surgery. We will support any interests and are always open to new ideas to improve our clinical work and the service we offer our patients. CPD is funded up to £1750 and certificates are funded and strongly encouraged.

The role will consist of a 37.5 hour working week (although part time would be considered for the right candidate) with a mixture of consulting and operating. Consultations are 15 minutes with a protected lunch break and 30-minute admin break in the afternoon to enable you to make phone calls and review cases. With no OOH, weekends or bank holidays, this role provides a fantastic work life balance.

Manchester Vet Centre is part of the Willows Vet Group which gives a huge support base with contacts within our own referral hospital and from multiple clinics within the Northwest. There are excellent progression options within the Willows Vet Group you are looking to gain more from your career.

What we can offer in return

• An excellent salary – up to £60,000 for an experienced vet
• No out of hours, bank holidays or weekends!
• 6.6 weeks holiday entitlement including bank holidays
• Being part of The Willows vet group with a great deal of clinical support
• Workplace pension scheme
• RCVS membership reimbursed and VDS cover
• CPD allowance of £1750 (this would increase for a certificate holder)
• Certificates funded and strongly encouraged
• Enhanced sick, parental leave, Buy/Sell Holiday, and cycle to work scheme
• Staff discounts for your pets
• Life Insurance
• 1 days paid volunteering leave
• HealthShield wellbeing programme
• Our own Willows referral hospital and OOH’s team to cover our pet’s care
