Crynodeb
Jobstore are recruiting for a Precision Pump Shaft Centre Lathe Turner for one of our prestigious clients in Liverpool. You will be working Monday - Thursday 07.30 - 16.30 with an early finish on Friday 07.30 - 12.30.
The role will involve working from precision drawings to rough out and finish turn shafts up to 4m in length from raw bar stock and forgings of various grades of steel, stainless steel, and alloy steels on a centre lathe.
For candidates to be sucsessful, you must have the following requirements:
NVQ 3 or equivalent
Previous experience in using steadies and grinding precision pump shafts up to 4.0m in length.
Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings.
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Systems.
Previous experience in using steadies and turning precision pump shafts up to 4.0m in length.
Previous experience with machining of exotic metals (super duplex, duplex, 718, x750, Hastelloy, Monel etc)
Experience machining exotic metals (e.g., super duplex, duplex, 718, x750, Hastelloy, Monel)
Previous experience in a similar role (2yrs min)
Strong planning and organising skills.
Effective communication with peers and management
Attention to detail.
