We are currently recruiting a Finance Assistant for our client, a local company in the Oldbury area. As a Finance Manager, you will be faced with a variety of duties to ensure a smooth running of the financial side to the business.

Main Responsibilities

• Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
• Manage post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries.
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Leading the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and presenting findings to the team.
• Leading year end accounting responsibilities.
• Managing end to end audit process of current systems – while acting as the point of contact for external auditors.
• Continually identify risks to delivery, propose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout.
• Dealing with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Management accounting experience required.
• Syteline
• Computer literate – with a good knowledge of all Microsoft applications.
• Strong communication (verbal and written)
• Strong attention to detail, organised and results orientated.
• Drive and ambition with a can-do attitude
• Financial control principles
• Knowledge of manufacturing / Commercial environment
• Good communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships and be influential and positive.

Other Requirements

• Ability to manage conflicting priorities, organised and methodical.
• Ability to support other front office teams with administration in planning, system updates.
