Senior Biomedical Scientist - Blood Sciences

Brighton Hospital | Pathology | Permanent Contract | Full Time

Salary dependent upon experience

37.5 hours per week

As a basic or Senior Biomedical Scientist at our Brighton Hospital, you'll bring the relevant qualifications and laboratory experience in multidisciplinary biomedical science. You have a good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of techniques. You're also a natural communicator and team player, and you share our idea of quality.

As a Biomedical Scientist you will:

  • Deliver quality pathology services and taking a share of covering out of hours service as required.

  • Perform biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation and reporting, through to quality control.

  • Keep records of specimens, results, reagents and consumables.

  • Support the organisation in validating and assessing new equipment and developing new diagnostic procedures. This is part of our ongoing quest to deliver the very best experience possible for patients.

  • Relevant laboratory experience in multi-disciplinary biomedical science.

  • Good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of multi-disciplinary techniques.

  • Great communication and team player skills.

  • The ability to understand how vital it is to maintain good customer relationships and provide high levels of service in a modern pathology laboratory.

To succeed as a Biomedical Scientist you will have:

  • Relevant laboratory experience in multi-disciplinary biomedical science.
