Crynodeb
This is a rotational post that includes the dispensary, medicines optimisation and outsourcing. There is also a requirement to participate in the ward top up service throughout the rotations.To participate in the dispensing of inpatient, outpatient, discharge and controlled drug prescriptions and the dispensing of clinical trials, following departmental procedures. To work as an accredited checking pharmacy technician (ACPT) once qualified. To assist in medicines optimisation of respiratory, cardiology and surgical patients on wards. To assist with medicines reconciliation and counselling patients on the use of their current medication and any new medication that is started by the Trust to facilitate adherence. Part of Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust 3To participate in the running of the outsourced CIVAs and TPN services for both the Adult and Paediatric wards.
