Summary
Our client, a leading education provider in South Tyneside, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time Primary Teacher (SEN) to join their dynamic team on a temporary basis. As an SEND Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, planning and teaching lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils, monitoring progress, and contributing to a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to individual students or small groups, adapting teaching methods and materials to suit their specific needs.
- Develop and implement personalised learning environments and programmes to ensure student progression at an appropriate pace.
- Organise the classroom environment, resources, student groupings, and displays to create a stimulating and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to each child's education and well-being.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress, using data to inform future planning and interventions.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEND education.
Person Specification:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching across primary, secondary, or SEND schools/environments previously.
- Experience working with SEN children is desirable but not essential.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and its application in an SEND context.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
