A leading UK group is seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Your new role
As Management Accountant, you will support the Finance Manager and Director in delivering accurate financial reporting and commercial analysis, with a particular focus on joint venture activities. You will play a key role in internal and external reporting, financial control, and supporting the wider finance function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing monthly balance sheets
- Managing cashbooks, bank reconciliations, and completion statements
- Overseeing overheads, accruals, and prepayments
- Raising sales invoices, purchase orders, and processing payment runs
- Supporting VAT queries and maintaining financial systems
- Producing ad hoc reports and analysis to support business decisions
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong academic background
- Experience in accounting/financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to partner with "non-finance" at all levels
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong time management
