Are you a passionate educator with a strong understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for an empathetic and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a specialist provision in Liverpool, supporting students who face barriers to learning due to complex emotional and behavioural challenges.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of young people who need it most.
The Role:

Teaching and supporting pupils with SEMH needs, often in smaller group or one-to-one settings

Planning and delivering a tailored, engaging curriculum to meet varied emotional and academic needs

Creating a safe, nurturing, and consistent learning environment

Working closely with support staff, parents/carers, and external professionals

Promoting personal growth, resilience, and positive behaviour
What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
-
A strong understanding of SEMH and challenging behaviour – essential
-
Experience using nurture-based and trauma-informed approaches – an advantage

Ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils
-
Calm, adaptable, and reflective approach to teaching

ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply – training and mentoring provided
