An exciting Opportunity has arisen within the Ophthalmology Theatre and Recovery Department; we have a vacancy for One full time Band 5 Nurse/ ODP Perioperative Practitioner. This is a Dual Role working between Theatre and Recovery.
The Department is a very busy unit undertaking all aspects of Adult Ophthalmic Surgery within the Eye Hospital and Paediatric Ophthalmic Surgery in the Main Hull Royal Infirmary Theatres. The unit consists of three theatres and a six-bay Recovery unit. We also boast an exclusive FEMTO Laser Suite which supports Cataract and Corneal Graft surgeries.
The Ophthalmic Theatres presently operates between the hours of 08:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday, with hours worked flexibly to suit the needs of the Service and staff rotating through all areas of the Ophthalmic Theatre Suite. There is an On Call commitment for Weekends and Bank Holidays.

We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated caring Registered Practitioner who is able to demonstrate a high standard of clinical practice to join our very busy Theatre and Recovery Suite.
You must possess excellent communication and team working qualities with a willingness to learn new skills.
Theatre and Post Anaesthetic Care Skills along with a recognised Theatre Qualification is desirable but not essential , as full training will be given.
