Summary

Age UK Plymouth exists to care for and work with older people, those living with dementia and carers in and around the City of Plymouth to improve their quality of life through the promotion of choice, opportunity and independence. We rely on donations to keep us active in the community. All money raised is spent locally supporting people in Plymouth.

We have an exciting new opportunity to join Age UK Plymouth as a Fundraising Officer.

The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for assisting in developing and delivering strategies to recruit, retain, and steward individual donors to increase and sustain an income stream for the charity. This includes managing campaigns, donor communications, regular giving programmes, supporter journeys and being present in the city promote the charity’s campaigns.

The right candidate will need to have experience in fundraising or another similar environment and have experience in working with a range of stakeholders. We are looking for someone with strong organisational, IT and communication skills with an ability to work both independently and within a team.

You will need a driving licence & access to a car for work purposes and willingness to drive the work vehicle as required for attending events.

Hours: 30 hours per week working flexible days including weekends (average of 4 weekend working days per month)

Salary: £24,862.50 FTE (Actual salary £19,890 per annum)
