Looking for a Children's Registered Manager for a brand new start home located in Ashford
2 Bed EBD Home.
Start date: Immediately
If you’re currently a Team Leader, Senior Residential Support Worker, or acting Deputy Manager, with knowledge and experience of children home 2015 regulations applications in the children home ,this could be the career progression you’ve been looking for
As per Ofsted regulation, see bellow, for the potential children Registered Manager needs to have worked in residential children’s homes for two years within last five years and also, they must have at least one year experience in leadership role, therefore Deputy of children’s home ,Team leader or a Senior Support worker in a residential children home would be fine
Regulation 28
(2) For the purposes of paragraph (1)(b)(i), a person has the appropriate experience and qualification if the person has—
(a) within the last 5 years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children;
(b) worked for at least one year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role;
If you have worked in residential children home over 2 years with experience in leadership positions that’s essential.
