Pay: £12.31 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 6:30am – 3:00pm and 11:30am – 8:00pm (some flexibility required for later finishes)
Contract Type: Permanent
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our team at Shrewsbury School. This is a great opportunity to be part of a hardworking team, supporting the kitchen operation and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and service areas
Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
Manage waste and recycling procedures
Support chefs with basic kitchen tasks where required
Ensure compliance with health and safety and food hygiene policies
Person Specification:
Good interpersonal skills with a calm and positive nature
Energetic and enthusiastic, with a proactive approach
Self-motivated and able to take responsibility
Conscientious with strong time management and a focus on delivering tasks to deadline
Well-presented and aware of the importance of appearance and attitude
Able to work as part of a team and support others when needed
Key Performance Indicators:
Consistently deliver service to required standards
Proactively contribute to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment
Comply with all health, safety, and food safety standards, including COSHH and allergen protocols
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and a Zero Harm culture
