About the people and their home
3A The Droveway is a residential home for two men who enjoy living in a central part of Hove in East Sussex. The home is situated near the sought-after area of Seven Dials, which has beautiful shops, parks, a museum and an open theatre. It has easy access to public transport and direct links to motorways, the A23 leading to London and the A27 leading to Worthing as well as other beautiful coastal towns nearby.
The people at 3A The Droveway enjoy reading a variety of books, some favourites include Charlie & Lola and Paddington. They like to play with puzzles (up to 150 pieces), magic water colouring, making dough, baking, knitting, art & crafts, foot spa massage, listening to communication toys, playing Xbox and snooker, connecting different gadgets, and surfing on You-Tube.
The two men have different goals that they pursue for their independence. Support workers encourage the necessary skills through person centred planning that promotes choice and empowerment. They support them in making their own decisions and taking control of their lives, respecting their autonomy and informed consent. They make sure decisions are in their best interest, and assist them in achieving their goals, helping them to be part of the community, access places they enjoy visiting, walking for exercise, relaxing at the beach and driving through the vast countryside.
About you
Although it would be beneficial to have some experience of healthcare work, it isn’t absolutely necessary as we provide full training. As long as you’re passionate, hard-working and empathetic, you’ll fit right in.
Join the team today and begin sharing moments and shaping lives.
