This post is based at our Cavendish Square site where we see both private care and NHS patients. There are also sites in Chelsea and Sutton.

We are currently inviting applications for an experienced full time Superintendent Radiographer to be responsible for leading the clinical service for MRI and CT at the Cavendish Square site, with additional oversight and management of x-ray, mammography and ultrasound service delivery.
The post is based on site Monday to Friday (all five days to ensure lead radiographer presence all days). Flexibility is required to cover various shifts between the hours of 8am to 8pm when required, and to ensure lead radiographer presence all days. The role will involve Saturday working when this becomes operational.

The successful candidate should have post graduate experience within MRI and CT, and a sound appreciation of oncology imaging. The successful candidate should be an innovative, highly motivated radiographer, with exceptional supervisory, training and leadership skills, who is able to continuously improve the MRI and CT services alongside the wider radiology and site services.
Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential, along with self-motivation, effective planning and an analytical approach to work.

The post holder will be responsible for the operational management of staff and will lead in the delivery of the CT and MRI services at Cavendish Square, with oversight of the x-ray, mammography and ultrasound service delivery and adherence to regulations and processes.

The post holder must have extensive post registration clinical experience in MRI and CT. It would be desirable for the post-holder to have undertaken post-graduate study at masters level within (for example) leadership, CT, or MRI.

The post holder will interact with diagnostic imaging department Superintendents to ensure delivery of appropriate and reactive diagnostic imaging services as a whole. The post holder will assist with organisation of all staff rotation and will have an awareness of budgetary requirements. In addition the post holder should have current experience to provide cover for other Superintendent Radiographers.

This post is hands on as well as administrative and will demand patient contact as well as supervisory skills. Patient presentation will include the unconscious, uncooperative, incapacitated, incompetent, distressed, disorientated, and those with physical and mental disabilities.
