Void Supervisor

Location: Clapham
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £41,000 - £43,334

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to join our team as a Void Supervisor in Clapham.

You will be responsible for the management and delivery of the end-to-end voids process within the region. The successful candidate will ensure void properties are processed efficiently and in accordance with relevant standards and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership for managing the voids process from end to end, ensuring timely delivery in accordance with organisational targets.
  • Lead regular performance review meetings with internal and external stakeholders, identifying delays and implementing corrective measures where necessary.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and service level agreements, escalating non-compliance appropriately.
  • Prepare accurate and insightful monthly performance reports to inform decision-making at a regional and organisational level.
  • Review and challenge the scope of works, quality standards, and schedules of rates, to ensure value for money and consistency in delivery.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments, influencing colleagues and partners to meet agreed milestones and performance goals.
  • Undertake site visits when required to validate scopes of work and provide expert advice.
  • Ensure that all administrative systems are accurately maintained and kept up to date to support effective voids management.

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar supervisory role within property or housing services, with a clear understanding of the voids process.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with a results-oriented approach to reducing void periods and rent loss.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and present findings clearly and persuasively.
  • Familiarity with NHF Schedule of Rates and experience reviewing or challenging works specifications.
  • Experience in producing written reports to a high standard, suitable for a range of audiences.

Desirable:

  • Part-qualified in a relevant professional discipline (e.g. property, construction, housing management) or equivalent experience.
  • Commercial acumen with an understanding of cost control in the context of voids management.
