Care and Support - Alexander House Care Home

Contract: Full Time and Part- Time Salary: £13.52 Per Hour Shift Type: Days Contracted hours: Full Time and Part Time

Our newly built care home is located in the charming suburb of Pinhoe, Exeter. We provide exceptional Nursing, Residential, Dementia, and Respite care for 67 residents, delivering the highest standards of person-centred care.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be a key leader in our care team, ensuring residents receive excellent support in a warm and compassionate environment. You will coordinate shifts, lead by example, and support your team to deliver outstanding care every day.

What We Offer

  • £13.52 per hour - Paid Breaks!
  • Flexible full-time or part-time hours
  • Pension scheme, paid DBS, onsite parking, and uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata, based on a full-time contract)

Your Role
You will lead and coordinate your team to ensure the smooth running of the home and promote a positive atmosphere. Supporting residents with personal care tasks, you will prioritise dignity and independence. You will oversee medication management, maintaining accurate records, and engage in clear communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care required; Level 3 qualification or working towards is a plus
  • Practical medication administration training with competencies
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
  • A kind, compassionate, and person-centred approach with a sense of fun
