ANZUK education is currently looking for learning support assistants to work in a school in the Taunton area - September start!The School:The school is a mixed comprehensive secondary setting for 11-16 year old's. It is an enjoyable place to work, where pupil's have a positive attitude towards learning. The school is consistently oversubscribed and there is a focus on both staff and pupil's personal development. The Role of a Teaching Assistant:Starting September - Must be availble to interview 18th August30.5h p/week - term time only Permanent role available following a settling in period Assist developing and implementing work programmes for students in alternative provision and lessonsProvide a stable, caring and supportive learning environmentMaintain detailed notes to help monitor student progress and attainmentFor this Teaching Assistant role we are interested in educators who have experience in one of these fields:Working within a trauma-informed approachSupporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHDAddressing Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needsSupporting cognition and learning developmentLeading interventions on a 1:1 basis or with small groupsWorking within Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) settings (Although you will be working with secondary age students, you may be required to work with individuals who have severe learning delays)Personal Care experience is desirable but not essentialRequirements of a Teaching Assistant:An Enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one through ANZUKAn up-to-date CV outlining employment covering the last two yearsHave experience working with students in a voluntary or paid capacityKnowledge in supporting students who have a combination of learning, social, emotional or behavioural needsWilling to complete full registration with ANZUK How to apply: To apply, please submit your CV by clicking the Apply button now.anzuk Education is committed to a policy of equal opportunities.
