Summary

7.5 Tonne Driver with valid CPC required for our client based near Stowmarket. This role will not only involve delivering goods efficiently but also support the company’s workshop team with basic assembly and preparing equipment ready for dispatch.

Main Duties will involve: -
Driving Duties:
• Driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle to deliver goods across various locations.
• Ensuring safe, timely, and accurate deliveries.
• Performing vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Loading/unloading goods and completing all paperwork.
• Using digital tachograph and complying with driving regulations.

Workshop Assistant Duties:
• Wrapping, packing, and preparing equipment and components for dispatch.
• Assisting with basic mechanical assembly and fitting of components.
• Using hand tools and following build instructions (training provided).
• Keeping the workshop clean, organised, and stocked with materials.
• Supporting warehouse and dispatch operations when needed.

What We’re Looking For:
• A full UK driving licence with Category C1 entitlement
• Driver CPC qualification & Digital Tachograph Card
• A clean driving record (max 6 points considered)
• Strong attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach
• Good communication and time management skills
• Physically fit – lifting and manual handling involved

Nice to Have (But Not Essential):
• Previous experience with 7.5T driving and/or dispatch prep
• Knowledge of UK road networks
• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Practical and hands-on with a can-do attitude
• Some experience with tools or mechanical assembly (preferred but not essential)
