Contract: Bank Salary: £14.00 Per Hour Shift Type: Days Contracted hours: 0Manor Grange Care Home is situated in the charming setting of Pinkhill, providing high-quality Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 83 residents.
We are looking for a skilled Bank Chef to join our warm and dedicated team, playing a key role in delivering delicious, well-balanced meals that bring comfort and joy to our residents every day.
This is more than just a cooking role. You will help create a welcoming, homely dining experience that supports the health and wellbeing of each individual in our care. Your culinary skills and commitment to quality will ensure every meal is something our residents look forward to.

What You Will Do
You will prepare, cook, and serve hot and cold meals, ensuring they meet dietary needs and preferences. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will help develop balanced, nutritious menus using fresh ingredients, while keeping within budget. You will also assist in managing daily kitchen operations, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and ensuring strict adherence to food safety protocols. Ordering supplies, stock rotation, checking deliveries, and accurate record keeping, including monitoring fridge and freezer temperatures, will be part of your responsibilities.
What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you hold City & Guilds 706 1 & 2 or an equivalent qualification, along with a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. You should be confident managing the kitchen when the Head Chef is not present. Experience in a care setting or preparing meals for residents with specific dietary needs is beneficial but not essential.
