Summary
The Student Occupational Health team is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, qualified Occupational Health Advisor. You will join a small, friendly team delivering specialist services to enrolled students at Cardiff University. The Student Occupational Health Service operates within the Student Health and Wellbeing Division. Based at the Heath Park Campus the service predominantly supports healthcare students from enrolment through to graduation but accepts management referrals for all students across the university.
The post holder will offer expert advice and assessment to students referred by staff within the university for students to thrive during their time at Cardiff University and beyond. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the administrative team in a busy service. Experience working autonomously and under pressure given the impact of the cyclical academic year is essential. This role will suit someone who is motivated and committed to service improvement and who thrives in a collaborative environment as well as having the ability to manage their own workload. The post holder will be expected to undertake case management and to complete relevant health surveillance assessments for students in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations and university policies/guidance.
You’ll be joining a team consisting of experienced nurses and an experienced and supportive administrative team, which values and respects all of its team members and the wider university community it serves.
This post requires experience of delivering vaccination programmes and venepuncture.
The post is full time (35 hours per week) and open ended.
