Role

Role & Responsibilities

You will be working closely with students aged 5-11 or 11-16 providing individual and group support tailored to their specific needs. You'll be assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons, creating a positive learning atmosphere, and helping students to reach their full potential. You will also be actively involved in planning and implementing engaging learning activities.

Main tasks include
  • Supporting students with their learning, both individually and in groups
  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Creating a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Developing and implementing individualised learning plans
  • Working closely with parents and other professionals to support student progress

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children with SEN in a UK setting
  • Experience working in a primary or secondary school environment
  • A passion for supporting children with learning difficulties
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A positive and patient attitude
  • Commitment to providing high-quality education
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for working with children
  • Relevant qualifications or experience are desirable
  • Strong understanding of SEN and inclusive teaching practices
