Summary

Quantity Surveyor

We have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Bristol. The business is privately owned and operates out of several offices across the country, with the Bristol region having been set up circa 5 years ago. They undertake projects across a range fo sectors including social housing, healthcare, education and commercial typically valuing up to £15mil. They have secured a place on several local and national frameworks, and many of their projects are as a result of repeat business with satisfied clients.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be working as part of a strong commercial team, reporting into the Managing Quantity Surveyor. You will be responsible for either managing your own smaller project, or working alongside a Senior Quantity Surveyor dependent on your experience and what would suit your skillset.

Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:

  • Take projects from Estimator handover
  • Manage sub-contract procurement
  • Manage sub-contractors accounts on site, dealing with variations
  • Manage monthly valuations and liaise with the client
  • Deal with final accounts

Key Requirements for this Quantity Surveyor position:

  • Have a HNC / construction related degree
  • Have administered JCT forms of contract
  • Must have the full right to work in the UK
  • Must live within commutable distance to Bristol and be happy to commute to sites as required.
