Java Developer - 6-Month Contract | Liverpool | Inside IR35
Your new role
We're looking for an experienced Java Developer to join a collaborative team on a 6-month contract, working on a range of backend services. This role offers a hybrid working model, with 2-3 days per week on-site in Liverpool, and is inside IR35 (via umbrella company).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable Java backend services using Spring Boot and Spring Framework
- Build and test RESTful APIs using Postman and Swagger
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines
- Manage cookies and session handling effectively
- Write and maintain unit tests using JUnit
- Work with POJOs and mock data for testing and development
- Integrate front-end components using Thymeleaf and JSON
What you'll need to succeed
️ Essential Skills:
- Java (Core and Advanced)
- Spring Boot & Spring Framework
- jQuery
- Thymeleaf
- RESTful API development and testing (Postman, Swagger)
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps collaboration
- Cookies/session management
- Unit testing with JUnit
- Handling POJOs and mock data
✨ Desirable:
- Exposure to modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue)
