Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Urology Diagnostics and Outpatients a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 7 nurse to join the team to provide effective leadership and management of Urology in the position as Unit Nurse Manager.
Applications are encouraged from individuals who currently hold a band 6 post and wish to move further in their career within the management side of nursing whilst being able to continue to develop their clinical skills and knowledge.
As part of the management team, you will be supported by the Matron and ADN, as well as the Care group and the Division of Surgery. You will also have opportunity to work closely with other experienced ward managers to assist you in developing and improving your existing managerial and leadership skills.
You will be expected to undertake managerial duties, have clinical and professional responsibility for the co-ordination and safe running of a busy diagnostic and outpatient department be a role model for excellent patient care, and help in the development of a designated team of nurses.

The post holder will have management responsibility for the department ensuring a high standard of nursing care.
Key responsibilities will include the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, effective leadership and staff management/development.
