Summary
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of service. This role requires excellent driving skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and a commitment to upholding safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate a van to transport goods to various locations as scheduled.
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate any issues or delays promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the role.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is an advantage.
- A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with regulations is essential.
