Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our incredible team in Poole. This role is permanent and full time (37.5 hours a week)
At our Poole service we support 6 people who share their home You will provide high-quality, flexible support to these individuals who have learning disabilities Your role is to help people live as independently as possible and to enjoy a great life. A big part of being a support worker is being a big part of the fun! So be prepared for film days, swimming, Kayaking, watching pantomimes (he's behind you!) and cooking meals.
What we're looking for:
- A genuine passion for supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Contract options:
- Full time permanent - 37.5 hours per week
Shift times:
All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
- Days: Between 07:00-22:00
There is also a sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.
*All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
