Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts: 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00

We’re recruiting an experienced HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Fitter to join a well-established and professional team in Worksop. This is a full-time role on rotating day and late shifts with alternate Saturday mornings, ideal for someone seeking stability, progression, and hands-on technical work.
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Fitter
• Carry out servicing and repairs on HGVs and trailers to MOT standards
• Diagnose and repair faults using diagnostic equipment and tools
• Ensure accurate completion of job cards and compliance paperwork
• Support roadside breakdown assistance as required
• Follow workshop health and safety procedures
• Liaise with the parts team to ensure timely and correct parts supply
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment
• Engage in technical training to stay current
Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Fitter
Essential
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
• Experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Fitter, or Fleet Mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Full UK driving licence
Desirable
• HGV Class 1 or 2 licence
• ADR certification
• IRTEC accreditation
