We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated and highly professional team on Alder Ward at Norwich Community Hospital

Alder Ward is a 24 bedded, generalist rehabilitation ward providing rehabilitation to patients with varying complexities of need. Nursing, therapy and medical staff specialise in supporting patients to achieve their goals, enabling them to return home. Our patients come to us following medical, surgical or orthopaedic treatment in an acute environment, or where appropriate, directly from their own homes.

You will demonstrate a proactive philosophy to care, committed to a “whole patient” approach, ensuring holistic care of the patient and involvement of all parties. You will be someone who believes strong and effective communication is essential and who strives to ensure quality patient care is their highest priority.

To promote health and prevent ill health in patients and service users and contribute to integrated care

To monitor the condition and health needs of patients in partnership with colleagues, families and carers, referring to others for reassessment, when required

To actively contribute to an effective learning environment and support others in their learning

To coordinate on a shift and liase with colleagues regarding bed moves, admissions and discharges.

To adhere to the Nursing and Midwifery Code of Conduct for Nurses, Midwives and Nursing Associates and work within their scope of practice following the professional standards of practice and behaviours for nurses, midwives and nursing associates and the standards of proficiency.

Achieving 'Outstanding' from CQC is a testament to the forward progressive nature of the Trust and our commitment to delivering high quality care in sometimes challenging environments.

The service offers a commitment to ongoing personal development and offers a supportive, friendly network of colleagues.

Norfolk offers beautiful countryside, beaches and many towns and buildings of historic interest, as well as being within close proximity to the city of Norwich which offers many cultural and leisure amenities.

Apply now to join an organisation that has been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the highest possible rating and the first stand-alone NHS community trust in the country to be awarded the title.

An ambition for NCH&C is to create a culture that embraces
flexibility in working wherever possible, and providing the tools to support this. If you are interested in this role though would need a flexible working pattern please don't let that put you off applying - we are willing to support applicants and meet their needs, taking into consideration individual work life balance.
