Summary
Job Title: Slinger – Submarine Project
Location: Plymouth
Contract Type: Temporary
Duration: 8–16 weeks
Start Date: As soon as possible
Working Hours: Minimum 50 hours per week
Pay Rates (Umbrella, including lodge allowance):
Basic: £32.50 per hour
Backshift: £40.00 per hour
Weeknight: £41.00 per hour
Sunday: £41.00 per hour
Sunday Night: £44.50 per hour
Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Slinger to support operations on a high-security submarine project in Plymouth. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a significant defence-related project in a safety-critical environment, with competitive pay and consistent working hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely sling and signal loads in line with lifting operations regulations
Work closely with crane operators and site personnel to ensure safe load handling
Maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety procedures
Contribute to the safe and efficient progress of site operations
Essential Requirements:
A valid CPCS or NPORS Slinger certificate
Active UK Security Clearance (this is a mandatory requirement)
Demonstrable experience working in a similar site-based role
