About the Team
Our Supported Living Service helps adults with learning disabilities and/or autism live independently in their own homes across the Bath and North-East Somerset area. We work in partnership with individuals, families, and other professionals to deliver person-centred support that promotes independence, dignity, and community inclusion.
You’ll be based primarily in the community, supporting people in their homes, with team offices located at Carrswood Day Services in Twerton, Bath and Connections Day Services in Writhlington, Radstock.
About the Role
We’re looking for a full-time Support Worker (37 hours/week) to join our team on a permanent contract, working on a rota that includes alternate weekends and some bank holidays (with enhancements paid).
As a Support Worker, you’ll:
Support individuals with daily living tasks, personal care, and medication (as needed)
Help people maintain their tenancies and live the life they choose
Encourage participation in community life and build meaningful relationships
Promote independence by developing life skills and confidence
Work flexibly and adaptively to meet changing needs
Maintain accurate care records and contribute to care planning
You’ll also be part of a team that values continuous learning and collaboration, with full training provided and opportunities to grow your career in social car
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Compassionate, respectful, and committed to delivering high-quality care
A great communicator who can build trust and rapport
Adaptable and able to respond calmly to changing situations
Comfortable working independently (including lone working and sleep-ins)
Willing to support with personal care in a dignified and respectful way
Experience in care or working with adults with learning disabilities/autism is an advantage, but not essential – we’ll provide full training. A Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care and a driving licence are also beneficial but not required.
