Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking a Sound No. 4 on the West End production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, this new play by Jack Thorne received its world premiere in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre in summer 2016. The critically acclaimed production is the most awarded West End play in the history of the Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards including Best New Play and Best Director in 2017.
Candidates will require relevant hands-on professional experience in sound, the ability to work well under pressure and within a team, good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as strong organisational and time management qualities to ensure that the production runs efficiently and smoothly and the sound design is maintained.
Responsibilities include the rigging, preparation, maintenance and operation of the sound design with ideal candidates having had experience on a large scale production, be proficient in running radio mics and managing backstage plots.

Contract Type: A year contract in the first instance, then the contract will be rolling.
Salary: Weekly rate as per SOLT/BECTU agreement.
Weekly Hours: 6 day working weeks (Tuesday to Sunday); 8 shows per week plus maintenance and understudy calls.
