Sales Executive / Sales Development Representative (SDR) who has experience in a business development / sales outreach role with excellent written and verbal communication skills is required for an innovative, award-winning, cloud-based SaaS solutions company based in Leeds, West Yorkshire.


SALARY: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum Basic Salary (depending on experience) / £40,000 - £50,000 OTE (includes Basic Salary) + Annual Bonus + Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Hybrid Working. You can work 4 days from home with 1 day in the office per week or you can work from the office for most of the week if you prefer. However, you must live within a reasonable commuting distance to Leeds (LS10)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity with the company’s growing Commercial Team for a proactive, curious and ambitious Sales Executive / Sales Development Representative (SDR) who has experience in a business development / sales outreach role with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to break into B2B tech sales and gain hands-on experience in a fast-moving and collaborative environment.

Working as the Sales Executive / Sales Development Representative (SDR) you’ll play a critical role in generating and qualifying new business opportunities across the UK public sector, construction, utilities, and infrastructure markets. Working closely with Business Development Managers, you’ll be on the frontlines of the company’s outbound efforts — engaging with prospects, building relationships, uncovering needs, and setting up high-quality sales conversations.

As a Sales Executive / Sales Development Representative (SDR) you’ll also have the chance to manage and close smaller deals directly, giving you the end-to-end exposure needed to develop as a future Account Executive or Business Development Manager / BDM.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Sales Executive / Sales Development Representative (SDR) include:

• Research, identify, and engage prospective customers through outbound outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn, events, etc.)

• Generate high-quality leads and book discovery meetings for the BDM team

• Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities using the company’s criteria (e.g. MEDDIC or similar)

• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline in HubSpot, updating activity and contact records diligently

• Support smaller commercial deals from start to close, with increasing ownership over time

• Collaborate with Marketing to execute campaigns and follow up on campaign-generated leads

• Capture and share insights from the field to help shape messaging, targeting, and positioning

• Help maintain CRM hygiene, sales collateral, and reporting processes

• Be an active contributor to a high-energy, learning-focused team culture


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Successful experience in a sales outreach-based role

• Excellent written and verbal communication – confident on the phone and professional in writing

• Driven, coachable, and motivated by targets and personal growth

• Strong research and organisation skills – able to map accounts, uncover buying signals and manage multiple touchpoints

• Comfortable working with technology and CRM tools (experience with HubSpot a bonus)

• Curious about the public sector, construction, or digital transformation – but full training will be given

• Looking to grow into a full sales or account executive role over time
