Summary

Adult Homelessness Support Worker - Martin House & Hatfield RoadDo you want to make a real difference in people’s lives? As a Support Worker, you’ll help adults experiencing homelessness overcome challenges like mental health issues, substance misuse, and unemployment. Your support will empower them to build life skills and move towards independent living-typically within two years. You will work across two services that provide medium to high levels of support, and your work will be essential in creating a safe, stable, and empowering environment: Martin House - Offers 16 self-contained flats with shared gardens and communal spaces - ideal for building trust and motivation through creative engagement. Hatfield Road - A smaller, more communal setting for five male residents, requiring a flexible, hands-on approach. Both services provide medium to high support, and your role will be key in creating a safe, stable, and empowering environment.Key responsibilities:Assess needs and develop personalised support plansPromote independence through life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and budgetingFollow and contribute to risk assessments and management plansSupport aspirations and help individuals achieve their goalsEngage with residents in a variety of ways, including creative and informal approachesSupport individuals to attend appointments and access external servicesDeliver trauma-informed support that recognises and responds to individual experiencesCarry out regular building checks to ensure safety and securityWorking hours:This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) worked on a rota basis.
